Well, now, he's making inappropriate comments, constantly making decisions advances toward you, your spouse, teen/young adult children, and generally behaving very inappropriate in a unwelcomed sexual type way.

The only thing that concerns me a tiny bit is your desire to make a meaningful social, environmental and economic impact.

It all depends on the market, the location, the property, and your relative desire of responsibility to the property.

REIT’s can pay monthly dividend as they are required to pay about 90% of there profits to shareholders each year for tax purposes. you desire and you can super charge your monthly income and reduce your volatility and risk with selling options.

Your best bet, if you desire a real person out in front of you that you can shake hands with and pose questions to, would be to attend a meeting at any of your local real estate investment associations (or REIAs).

But right now I'm focusing on trying to find the right spot, that offers what we desire when it comes to living.

There is profit in every industry if you work hard enough and have the desire to attain it.

As far as areas to be aware of, the west side of Lakewood is definitely more desirable and you see it reflected in property/rent pricing. 

The appraisal came in VERY low and I had the comps to prove it.When a VA appraisal comes in low, the appraiser can trigger the Tidewater Rule (aka Reconsideration of Value or ROV), which gives all parties concerned an opportunity to dispute the appraisal.The dispute must be based on facts, like incomplete or inaccurate data contained in the appraisal and comps that support the desired price.I was recently able to save two transactions totaling over $800K in sales by getting a VA appraisal raised by $15,000.  

But I would be sensitive to what may be their desire for a little quiet enjoyment before the neighborhood invades :)  The quarterly walk through is awesome.
