In my mind though, since I live in NY, own the property in NY, doesn't it fall under NY laws anyway?

Full rehab of the home to include new primary and secondary bathrooms, installation of new island and coffee nook with granite countertops, new water resistant LVP floors throughout, new paint, crown moulding in living room & kitchen, new electric water heater, and conversion of coat closet to mud room.

We've all seen the potential benefits: faster construction, potentially lower costs, and the ability to design unique living spaces.

Is that what we have here, people dolling up the units- value add- and collecting the extra rents, or are the renters paying higher rents for a more low class living experience?

I live in the outskirts of Mechanicsville, VA just outside of Richmond.

This person lived in the Bay Area.

I am potentially interested and from the initial conversation looks like something I'd like to move forward with. 

I have offered both to buy them a condo to start, but they aren't ready yet so one is renting and one lives in an ADU on my property.Single-family is strong and smart, but I like condos for younger kids because the HOA saves them of all the things they don't know how to do.

We hardly use the pool which is $180 month to maintain and we spend all our time together in the kitchen/living which leaves 4 other zones empty 95% of the time.

Do you still live in it or plan to move out?
