I don't have any hard numbers or statistics, but I'm under the general impression that a lot of the NINJA loan officers from 2005-2007 are currently hanging out both at used car lots in the F&I office, and on campuses slinging stupid student loans to teenagers (nineteen is nineteen).

Maybe you are different but it doesn't motivate me to see a guru talk about his car, homes etc. 

Not being able to make a car payment or a medical bill payment will result, in most cases, in non payment of rent.Debt is debt whether it be student loans, medical, cell phone bills etc. when they default they borrow their landlords money to make ends meet.

As David Greene said on BP Podcast 257, "Do I really know what I'm looking for when I look under the hood of my car? 

If they don't own a house, their car might have a monthly payment, and they might not own much of value. 

Lucky I didn't get in a car accident on the way to work today or wake up with an incurable terminal illness...Don't kid yourself, a lot of us have worked very hard but have also been very lucky and blessed along the way. 

Isn't that exactly the same imbalance as the vast majority of car loans, especially new models?
