TransUnion Smart Move

What is your opinion of Trans Union Smart Move credit and background check service?  Has anyone used it?  Do the reports give sufficient information to make a good decision?

Do you collect the $35 from the tenant and run the reports yourself or do you request that the tenant run the report ?  If you're not familiar with the service, you set up the property in your landlord account and then they apply to the property and then pay and the report is made available to you(If i'm reading the documentation correctly).

If not, what service do you recommend?

Thanks,

Brian

I use this exclusively. I also agree that the credit score doesn't matter. I look at the actual report. One of my tenants has a horrible credit score but that's because of a private student loan that is in default. She is a nurse and has her own business on the side. She is one of my best tenants, but if I only looked at credit score, I'd never rent to her because of it.
