For now I am just thinking about getting closer to the real estate business and being around people that does this.My GoalI think my biggest goal with real estate, with all honesty, is to make money.

Most people seem to avoid the conversation about all the Real Estate risk takers that played the biggest part in the housing crisis.A few years before the bubble burst I was encountering real estate investors, house flippers, and buy-and-hold participants everywhere I went, my waitress at The Cheesecake Factory, the two McDonalds employees talking deals on their lunch break, the clerk at the grocery store, everyone everywhere appeared to be a real estate investor in one form or another getting a piece of the housing boom.The underlining problem I noticed was during the rush to get into the RE industry most of the people capitalizing in the industry never learned the basics of RE investing and were simply doing what their friends, neighbors, coworkers, or online postings told them to do to get a piece of the pie.

Hey everyone, I have been doing commercial property management privately for over five years now and I'm sure most of you will agree that finding and keeping a solid tenant is the biggest challenge, yet, is the most important objective on your list at all times.I have sandwich signs posted near the main roads at all of my properties, and recently created banners to hang on windows.

This criteria varies greatly city to city and block to block even,  but you need to know beforehand or you are already done before the day you start. 

For us, we want to live in Chicago for the next few years and for us financially it makes more sense to invest in multi-family homes where we live in one unit and rent out the others and try to repeat as many times as we can before we maybe eventually move out of the city.

Check your municipal Official Community Plan to determine the city's vision for redevelopment.

I was able to locate one in my previous city (same state), so would if be productive to try to use a closing attorney in another city or in the experience of my fellow investors, does that generally cause too much headache to manage?
