Once the economy crashed and these people became disinterested, they stopped clicking on all of the articles about FIRE, and consequently agencies stopped running FIRE articles since they aren't profitable without readers.

Perhaps I am biased because I live this way, but after reading countless articles/forums and discussing with OOS investors, I am fairly confident the numbers are better than Long Island, NJ and other areas of NY (listed properties). 

Credit check, previous rental check, business license or articles of organization check, and 2 to 3 bank statements showing monthly deposits into whatever account they use for their business.

Maybe someone should write an article about it.
