We are in the process of purchasing a duplex with additional rented storage space where we will move into half of it and rent the other half out.

The rear of the home had a large den and a storage room. 

my understanding is one will have to set up an acct each time to use the device and then they could essentially leave that acct on there and the next person would be unable to use that acct without knowing how to delete it. 

The deal came with an apartment building on a sizeable lot with a storage garage in the back of the property and it also included an empty city lot.

Have thought of this myself and one of my partners even has plans already made up for build-outs of storage containers.I havent looked into the costs for water/sewage Hookup as that was my biggest question as well.I see what we (the REIT I work for) pays for these hookups for our potential shopping centers and it is rather large amounts (I know it’s not apples to apples comparison)I never found land that was going to make a good deal when I was looking in high desirable locations however to do much more than back of the napkin analysis.

I still have positive long term outlook on the Denver real estate market.Some background: I moved here from Oakland in May 2019 and found a room for rent in Wheat Ridge for $900/month +utilities in a 3bed/3bath SFR with key amenities I was looking for that include private bath, garage for my motorcycles and storage bins and easy street parking for my truck. 

Does that include self storage units?
