Should that deter us from perusing?  

Be careful with accepting rent AND perusing an eviction. 

I’d love to have some guidance on the essentials before perusing the innumerable and helpful articles on BP - it can be overwhelming on where to start!

I would recommend perusing through posts on these boards for plenty of great advice for new investors, there are tons of posts to choose from, and have many great replies from savvy investors and real estate professionals.If you haven't started listening to the BP podcast yet, I highly recommend it.

Before I list my 2012/2013 I want to say to everyone but mostly the very young guys I see on this thread, never stop perusing this profession.

Dummy craigslist ads or a perusal of the other "For Rent" properties in the area that are cut from a similar cloth are how you determine rent.

. :-)I regularly invest in tech startup syndicates using online platforms such as Angel.co, have funded Kickstarter campaigns and a few months ago invested in my first Realty Mogul deal.As a syndicator, I like these curated platforms for marketing and advertising offerings and making the investor management piece simple and automated.As an investor, I love being able to peruse professionally prepared and vetted offerings that meet my investment criteria.

We are looking to do more fix and flips and buy-and-hold residential rentals.I've been perusing Bigger Pockets for a couple of months and thought it is finally time to join.

I will continue to peruse the internet but thought I would try my friends on biggerpockets!
