I selected Lewiston for the post as I didn't see an Augusta option, but I do work all over the state.It was my family's property management business that brought me to Maine and sparked my interest in and passion for helping investors achieve their goals. 

Tenants are informed about this in advance.

I informed the guests that I would refund there cleaning fee because the cabin would not need to be cleaned. 

Try Jay Hurst ( on BP), I'm not sure if he works this area but he can probably find something or give you some information / options moving forward.

I'm based in WI and there are several people from NY investing here, some successful and some not---the common thread I see from the ones that are not is that they relied on someone else for information instead of investigating, VERIFYING and doing their own due diligence.
