My fiancé and I own a property management company in Indianapolis, Brentwood Property Group.

I think the property management team is one of the most important team members and wish I had talked to them before making offers on my Indianapolis properties in 2023.

I believe I can choose between a  City Housing Inspector or Authorized Inspector to conduct the inspection.

I have a similar experience to Nicholas - rented out my Indianapolis suburban home that I lived in (Class A) when I moved back to CA.

I invest in the Indianapolis metro area - Class A suburb (bought 11 years ago) and Class C East side of Indianapolis.  

How about right here in Indianapolis?! 

Visiting the property is up to you and your comfort level with your property manager, home inspector, etc.

The rest: hiring for acquisitions and dispositions roles, finding qualified and legitimate buyers, building a network in each market (inspectors, realtors, etc), having robust operations and processes in place, all while conducting an honest, reputable business with homeowners is very hard.

I really think it's how they become home inspectors in the first place.

Why don't you ask the building inspector in your jurisdiction?
