I will stay open, but I think the long-term strategy of buying and renting out is the one closer to my goal (financial freedom); I think I could probably also learn how to flip when the occasion arises, but I would say the balance would be 80-20.

I've had luck getting deals on my own personal homes in the past and now I am on the road to financial freedom buying properties in order to help others with their home needs.

I see he sells resources and different programs, so I just want to know if he is legit, because he is also calling himself "the financial freedom coach" which sounds a bit weird to me

I guess our ultimate goal is total financial freedom.

If you are still trying to achieve financial freedom and escape the rat race, then you may need to put in the time to self manage and keep that bottom line healthy, so you can reinvest in other assets. 

So, I use Personal Capital to track my net worth (at least those parts of my net worth that can be harnessed in the pursuit of financial freedom - doesn't count retirement accounts, my car, or home equity if I owned a home that wasn't an investment property).
