Do not give in to lifestyle inflation as the better w-2 jobs come along, raises, and bonuses.

This guy has used notarizing as his primary income for the past 20 years and was incredibly happy with his lifestyle. 

I saw where my boss lives , his lifestyle and thats what motivated me .

So their so called below poverty income claim with section 8 doesn't match with their luxury lifestyle.  2.

As a result of my military lifestyle, and the places I have been stationed, northern Virginia, San Diego, Hawaii, where the returns are not as great as other areas, I have started investing remotely in areas with greater returns. 

High achievers always move the goal line out anyway; so, tying your happiness to the end result rather than daily action can result in unhappiness along the way.Regarding real estate investing, add value...it speeds up the wealth building process. in the For What ever its worth category.. to me real estate is life.. its a life style.. there is no retirement.. not sure why folks get so worried about retirement.. you get your stable of whatever kind of real estate you want  sFR multi commercial  Notes  short term lending .. fix and flip  value add  MHP  storage spec building etc etc.. and you nurse them along and work with them until you pass through the pearly gates.. why retire even if you retire with rentals your still involved in some manner.. if I looked at real estate that way I retired at 18 when I started selling the stuff it was and is not a JOB to me its a lifestyle..

I haven't seen any multi-family units around here on the market but again I haven't really made a conscious effort to look.

Definetly wasn’t trying to do anything illegal ( at least consciously).

The scenery and outdoor activities fit our lifestyle perfectly.

I'm not sure what market you are in, but assuming it is a smaller one (i.e. not Des Moines) you have an opportunity to be a big fish in a small pond.My grandmother did that in a smaller Midwest town (began 70 years ago) and it worked out very well for her financially and in terms of lifestyle.
