My mom recently (2 weeks ago today) died of cancer.

When I was 16 years old I lost my dad in a sudden car wreck, my mom's mom (grandmother), and my best friends dad 3 houses up the street had back pain and found out cancer spread everywhere.

I'll help with good advice as much as I can.I have a listing that will close next week, life has not been fair with the owners and on top of that they both have cancer.

It was prostate cancer and a divorce/bankruptcy, both of which happened in the past few years.

There's always the cancer patient with 6 kids you hear about on the news where people come together to get them a house... but barring a compelling reason, I wouldn't see this as viable myself.I might suggest looking to family as a more reasonable option.

Why cure cancer if we can manage it?

Because being 66 years old with stage 4 lymphoma and not having the option to stay home because cancer sucks just doesn't seem like a great life-exit-strategy...
