Question about LLC formation.
19 July 2013 | 6 replies
I look at it like insurance, I hate paying the money now, but if I ever need it, I will REALLY need it.The salesman gave you valuable information to investigate, but I would seek the advice of your own trusted advisers before acting. There are "kits" to do the LLC yourself, but in my opinion, that is kind of like buying a kit to do your own brain surgery.

Hello GeorgeI wish I could see your project to give you a better idea,,,plumbing jobs are like people ,,,no 2 are alike,,,Moving or disturbing original drains and water lines can be tricky, you must proceed with caution like a surgery,,,,no place for amateursYou also want to consult an experienced tilesetter for the creation or altering of a shower pan,,,,they must be perfect and sound,,,,If your going to go that far I strongly suggest upgrading to a Moen shower valve with integral shutoffsI would consult a family owned plumbing company with good refferals from a local supply house.Having said that ,msot of these folks want to supply there own materials and do a "turn key " installation.Interview them on the phone and have them over to give you na accurate price quote for the comp[lete job. This way you both know how long and how much.It also gives you a chance to say yes or no ,,,yay or nay. This is how I conduct my business and I havent found a better way.Everyones on the same page,,,,Hope that helpsDD

Using both with a robust pro forma to define and underwrite the highest and best use of a property and project is step #2.Using this data to identify and build your development team, including your investors is your next step.Getting hooked up with an experienced developer can warp speed your learning curve. The good news is that development lends itself to a process that is not brain surgery and requires no degree. It’s mainly knowledge based and available to anyone with the right amount of information, curiosity and dedication. Please let me know if I can help you in any way on your journey.Best of luck!

I also buy from one broker, a competitor who I trust, is a friend and helped me during 2009 and 2010 while I was recovering from my heart surgery, stroke and re-learning how to walk, read, etc.For servicing, I use FCI and Del Toro and I'm about to begin using a new company owned by Trustee Corps in Irvine, CA, Harmony.

That doesn't mean you will sue your lawyer for that advice (you might, but being wrong isn't the same as malpractice).Imagine if you went to your doctor with some unusual pains and all he gave you were a bunch of stale facts about potential therapies -- "Well, there's an X% chance it's your appendix, with a Y% chance that, if it is your appendix, it will get better without surgery, and there's a Z% chance of complications with surgery..."
