Google (Name of County) Recorders office, or (Name of County) Tax Assessors office. There should be a place to find out if records are online, if they are you should be able to input the address and get records or at least the type of records filed.

You may or may not have to leave a voice message yourself, but if so just keep following-up and leave no lead behind. My phone has an option to send a text message when I can't take a call, such as "I am in a meeting and will call you right back" or "please leave a message" These are helpful when you can't take the call live, but always follow-up as soon as possible.
