All in all 100k spent ( 70 k to repair apartment, housing the tenants for several months in a hotel, ordered to pay them 10k, and now attorney is advising us to pay them 17k to not sue (extortion) I’m newly involved (owners are all siblings/cousins-12 in all) Sorry for the long post, but ??? 

In spite of it being a lackluster ski season, my Killington Grand Hotel unit was having the best year in my 4 years of ownership.

Owners gnash their teeth when they see the dryer vent charge (OMG Pete that is a waste of money it's not a hotel!)

Currently, I work as an owners rep for various hotel development groups and have a Masters in Architecture.

He is the head of Blackstone group's real estate division and is also the chairman of board of Hilton hotels.  

I think the market is so good right now...even if you got a hotel for 1 week while your house is being shown, you’ll probably sell within that time and make enough money to pay for the hotel stay...if your house is in good shape.

Most are small studios, hotel rooms that you can invest in and rent out as STR.

SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) are eligible for Rental Property Owners.Standard SBA Loans are not available for passive income (except Hotels and Self Storage)...

I'm assuming demand is high due to the presence of many extended stay hotels, but it would be nice to hear some real life stories from the trenches!

What I am seeing more and more are agents who work either buy side or sell side, or landlord rep or tenant rep....and then specialize into a particular sector....restaurants, bars, hotels, self storage, car washes, small apts, large apartments, office, medical office, warehouse, industrial, land development,  or whatever it is that you have interest and expertise in.There are probably 5 basic commercial courses for education you should take....so if you haven't done that, you should.Pros...potentially more money and bigger deals.Cons...things can be tough right now...for example apt sales probably down 80% or maybe more YOY.
