We bought a 3 acre lot that had a manufactured home on it that wasn’t part of the sale because the bank didn’t have title to it.

Most of the homes in the neighborhood are 3 bed 2 baths but they are mostly manufactured homes or trailers.

Sioux Falls is more diverse with a mix of medical, financial, manufacturing and farming.

We are considering removing trees, installing well and septic, and placing manufactured or mobiles homes on these for rent as well.  

Today the auto manufacturing companies are doing well again and the City of Detroit has taken a tough step to declare bankruptcy which is the largest municipal filing in U.S. history with an estimated debt between $18-$20 billion.

We just remodeled a manufactured home and replaced the vinyl with Hardiplank siding.

Then we discovered they had been illegally manufacturing hash oil in the garages.

There is definitely some potential for Dekalb to start turning things around and build itself into more than just an old manufacturing town/college town. 

I'm currently looking for additional land here but if I bought the land today I'm probably a minimum of six months away from having manufactured lots ready to sell or build on.
