Many areas have rent, fuel, utilities, and food costs that are up a lot more than 8% CPI.  18% of US adults in the September UBS survey said they lived rent free with other people during the last six months, up from 11% at the same time one year ago.

@Dusty Laurin As long as you do not run your AirBNB as a hotel, which means that you provide services like daily cleanings and food service (like a Bed & Breakfast), then your AirBNB is treated as a rental property just like a long-term rental.As @Michael Plaks mentioned, there are quite a few good real estate accountants on this forum.

My stores in Vermont do well near other locally owned businesses, in particular restaurants that focus on local foods and hip coffee shops, though once we are in a place for 6 months our customers tend to seek us out.

I can tell you from 20 years of both corporate (IBM, ConAgra Foods, HP, Ricoh) and agency recruiting, that your real estate investing experience will not matter on your resume unless the skills and experience you have are directly relevant to the job requirements.You can add it as a talking point, but I would not spend much time on it unless it has job relevancy (property management, acquisitions, etc).Good luck on the gig hunt!
