I like the idea that each room can be individually controlled to maximize comfort and efficiency. 

There's also the idea of buying one for cash and then opening an equity line of credit for the future?  

Is it a good idea to require a contract renewal right off the bat?

Any idea what the minimum requirements are to claim something as a primary residence?

I just have no idea on the actual costs of building a home, but it seems if you buy a piece of land you should be able to build something for less than what a lot of the already built houses go for here, it being such a largely inflated priced market.
