I'm currently living in Chicago (2hrs out) so this is somewhat of a long distance investment. 

I would read up on long-distance investing before I did anything.

CapEx refurb is recommended and unit is close to a large state school (walking distance).

It finally dawned on me that I am probably not cut out for long distance investing.. 

The benefit of SEC 8 vs. someone commuting from the metro is that the SEC 8 tenant is likley to say for many years.

Looking to long-distance real estate invest.

Purchase price: $211,000 Cash invested: $23,818 7 family property walking distance to the downtown/main street area.
