The neighborhood is blue collar.

Currently I am renting at very discounted price for being a few blocks from the ocean. 

If your rental property is a blue collar neighborhood in the C+ range I don't think it will be a problem with the other neighbors.

Blue-chip tenants and government institutions are benefitting from this because they have enough cash reserves to swallow these small business owners.

Right now if you weren’t grandfathered anywhere at Ocean Front you have to get CUP.

I would sit back while they get through the council meeting and see what happens, Norfolk doesn't seem to be as strict as Virginia Beach, Ocean View is becoming a much nicer area, your not far from VA Beach if your property is in East Ocean View you have the bay and your much more likely to find a decent deal out in that area than Virginia Beach.

Our argument is - especially in the geographic region of the NC Blue Ridge Mountains - there is a strong desire for tiny homes, vacation rentals, and investments.

In general, people are going to take less vacations, especially long-distant vacations to the middle of the ocean. 

The property manager sent a letter to the tenant instructing him to remove the dog from the premises...My tenant then, out of the blue, hired an attorney....Basically saying that we didnt give him "a 2nd chance" with the dog.
