Right now I am in full gear gobbling up podcasts, books, and analyzing on my own the deals the beautiful community on BP members put up for me to practice with ;) I have started networking, and have plans to attend two different REIA meetings in my area this month. 

They usually run events at nights or on weekends so you should be able to attend even with a full time job.

@Zachary St Laurent I would attend your local REIA groups and talk to investors.

@Adam Treece I attended a seminar on the TSP where they explained how you could take a lump sum distribution from your TSP and roll it into another retirement plan (including a self-directed IRA). 

I'm 17 years young, and finishing high school with plans to attend either the University of Virginia or William and Mary in the Fall of 2017. 

I am very interested in attending an REI meeting.

Make sure to attend your local REIA and network with people who are doing what you want to do.This business is about building relationships.

Also, I am attending some of Brandon Turner's webinar.

I recently attended the Lifestyles unlimited seminar (2 day seminar) here in Houston,Tx and soon realized that as a self-employed woman that does not show sufficient income that leverage is going to be very problematic.

And I actually follow advice :) We are attending our first meeting on Tuesday and I'm really excited about it!
