I'm not an attorney, but I believe that is a basic premise of US contract law that all States have by virtue of being part of the US legal system. 

You have to consider purchase and installation costs, plus any maintenance over the life-span of the system.

If you are going to tackle any of the systems such as roof, plumbing, electrical, & hvac you MUST MUST MUST get the work permitted.

Your tax advisor should have a good tax system that can do this.

Depending on which real estate agent or company that you go with, they may have their own process of adding homes into the system (some require an email submission and others will allow everything through their website).
