It´s the first time we´ve leased this unit for LTR, though it´s been active in the past as a full-time STR (when it wasn´t our primary).

Residential your weekends will be gone and if your significant other will be off on weekends and kids want to do things it will put a ton of stress on your family.I have been doing this 12 years now.

And I think here in Colorado there's a certain Western mentality of independence that chafes at "rules n' s*#t".

Excellent point @Blake Facente  It definitely makes things more stressful having that timeframe limitation.
