These help me weather a storm with low STR occupancy numbers like many are facing across the country.Higher insurance rates, STR permit fees, labor costs for repairs and cleaning, regime fees (for condos) make running a profitable STR even more difficult.  

What type of loan would you recommend if I have no credit history since I don't live in the US?

If we asked for a credit, we don't yet have a solid team or even time to be there throughout the entirety of all the repairs, so we would still have to coordinate everything and rely on someone else to be our representative there.

Assuming I own the land free and clear (value, say 800k) however, do you think that I could get the construction loan myself (I have about a 750 credit score) and just hire a builder to put it up, using the land as collateral for the loan?

It was easy to get cash flow when rates were low, but now, it's a challenge unless you get creative with STR/MTR's.
