Michael Ristom, There is no such thing as an statute prohibiting the use of REO and/or Short Sales.

@Michael Hayworth I'm curious as to whether you fix the properties up enough to get a conventional loan for the deal or waited until you had enough capital to hold it for 1 - 3 years or so.

Thanks for the advice Michael Lee  I am definitely going to be spending a lot of time examining a property before I jump in to it.

@Michael Biggs yes there is another property owner on the other side of the RoW but they have access further up the road as it's a very large tract - nobody else is blocked since I am at the end of the road - literally.
