@Andrew Steffens  That's interesting about spring training - we have that in Lakeland with my home state Detroit Tigers, but I don't think that really has much of an impact on us. 

There is little to no information about tax deeds in USA, and I don't really know where to start, like what state to choose and where to find information about currently available properties for sale AT LEAST in the whole state.

I just got a response from them stating that our request was denied because we will not be living in the property for at least a year.

@Diana Tran you request proof of all repairs done by licensed contractors for everything and your agent should be able to review as it goes if you are out of state.

Having said that, I've only attended the AAPL's conferences, which are pretty much what you'd expect: presentations focused on the state of the market, education for lenders, and new best practices (with some tech thrown in).

In addition, I am unconvinced that $30k has a chance to get this property into a rentable state.

In fact, FL does not even have state income tax.
