It wasn't that people could risk losing their house if something major popped up.

Along 380, there are real estate developments popping up left and right.  

Craigslist is not always reliable; Many rentals advertised there are owned by mom and pop landlord types who may not have researched current market rent and so their property may be priced below market.

Curious, has the project's details stayed the same, or has some new things popped up?

If you look up properties on zillow, realtor, trulia, who keeps popping up as listing agent, Not premier agent, Gooogle them, see what their inventory looks like.

I have read a lot lately that indicates malls faring better are ones which:have an Apple storeare connected to a cinemaintegrate high-tech elements (such as interactive maps, strong fast free WiFi, mobile charging stations, gaming/sports screens, etc.)embrace pop-up shops in vacant spacesprovide experiential shopping perks such as a DJ booth, giveaways, etc.I think that with millennials now being the largest U.S. demographic (recently surpassing baby boomers) and their inclination to spend money on food, travel and experiences rather than retail commerce, it will be very important for malls to continue to diversify their offerings beyond just "typical" shops.  

subsurface water issues excluded. but if you had a bunch of subsurface water issue the pool would have popped up out of the ground by now.
