Any idea what it costs to remove inground pool?

I'm looking at a house that has an inground pool in a backyard that is too small for a pool. The pool has got to go. The pool is about 24' x 14'. Any idea how much to demo and remove it? (I'm in southern Louisiana.)

Punch some holes in the bottom (assuming it's concrete) and then fill it in. No need to remove it. Put an ad out that you are looking for clean fill, and hopefully you'll get some contractors looking to lose dirt in your area. Depending on how much they are looking to lose and how close they are to your site, you might broker a deal with them to bring equipment over and do it for you. Hauling material is expensive, so if they can get rid of a couple loads close by, it's worth it for them.
