So, I just bought my first house in Tacoma Washington and its ready for a complete remodel and possibly an addition. can anyone recommend a general contractor in my area or a designer?

One advantage of doing it all at once is that the building is all fixed up and it's easier to attract a higher caliber tenant.

I am an architect (my full time job) and have been practicing architecture designing retail, multifamily, residential and healthcare for 15 plus years.

The meetup was designed to get investor in the Lansing, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids area, out of the office and into a local project.

Her reasoning: she doesn't want a family of 5 or 6 using the unit and causing more wear and tear, doesn't want people with pets, and feels like the 2 BR units attract retired couples that may have an occasional visitor.

I am a realtor and she is very good at interior design so we make a great team.

Also, dont under estimate the value of picking out the design elements of the house.

I Received my NARPM Designation of Residential Management Professional in October of 2015, and I am the Education chair for both the Virginia Peninsula NARPM Chapter as well as the Virginia State NARPM Chapter.  

On a high level, it seems really attractive as I can get a loan with 3% downpayment and no PMI or use the LPMI program where the lender pays the MI (I know I qualify for the loan).
