Municipalities in CO and other areas of the west are buying up water rights from farms to support growing populations, but they need large amounts in contiguous buys to be worth their while. 

But my general impression is the west side is GREAT for rentals.  

The location is ideal and is right within our chosen area of concentration.The owner has been transferred to the west coast and now lives out there (communication has been slowed as a result).

I suggest staying north of 410, west of 35, and a couple other pocket areas can be good too.

Shoot, you don't even need to go out-of-state; if you just drive a few hours north, south or west I'm sure that there are plenty more deals than where you are in LI.

The numbers built into their program are west coast, which doesn't help me either.
