We were close to having our first large multifamily under contract and knew that we couldn't do it without the right mentor which is why it made sense for us to jump in.

Except for the Bigger Pocket's community...So I too desire to locate investors but I was told by a mentor that you have to play a game called hide and seek...or is that you seek and they will hide if you do not even have a property under contract.

I want to be able to mentor my students to the best of my abilities and so the more knowledge I can share with them the better off they will be.

There's no harm in calling him back per se, I guess you can see how much it will cost, but be prepared for a hard sell and if there is some conference or mentoring event, there will probably be a lot of upselling.

Sometimes the best way to learn is by doing, you will make mistakes, just try to keep them small and carry to knowledge to the next deal, If you can, find a mentor to run your first deal or two by.
