Do you guys run a credit and background check on every applicant?  

Just got word that the City Council is considering an ordinance that would make it unlawful or discrimination to exclude section 8 applicants from the application process.  

After several weeks, the loan was denied for rentals and I objected saying that they were clearly declared in the application and if that was an issue, the loan should have been denied IMMEDIATELY, not three weeks later!

I know I can send a letter to the county appraiser or go the county website, but does redfin or zillow or any other web application allow you to search to on all multifamily homes for a specific county (even the ones that are not for sale)?

There's lots of information on City-Data.com re the areas you mentioned.I would start working on the work permits and residency visas first.  

You'll need to make yourself available for showings on nights and weekends when most prospects are available, answer all phone calls/email/text inquiries and thoroughly explain the application, the lease itself and the property to prospective tenants.
