I don't have proven data of success but with Madison having hospitals, the university, the airport, and many extended-stay hotels it seems it might have the demand.It seems the median price on Airbnb for a 30-day stay is $5,000 before fees.

As an outsider, I would much rather snag a hotel now unless it is a really cool air bnb, and have multiple friends/family members staying with me to justify the cost. 

I won't be investing in the riskiest/most supportable asset subclasses such as hotels, and tilt my portfolio the ones that have historically been more stable such as multifamily and single-family housing.

Hi Andrey, I invest in Cincinnati OH primarily in apartment building and we buy hotels nationwide.I have been investing since 1999 and since 2006 when we started raising capital from investors, we have never lost investor capital even through the 2008-2009 recession.I agree with your observation.

If i ever did want to take my Condo out of its Hotel Pool id give her a try..............roll the.dice time.   

Prices are so high that many people prefer to go back to hotels.

Having said that, you do see a lot of hotels/motels putting their rooms on AirBNB and VRBO.We got our last STR on VRBO in a hotel/resort in Bend OR.

The guy contacted an older man with some land ( 5 acers) put it under option on a 2 year contract then starting calling hotel owners and retail center owner. made 4 mil in 6 months on the side.The logic makes sense but what do I need to do to make this happen.
