You can easily transfer title to your LLC shortly after purchase.From what I've heard, land trusts don't provide any asset protection or tax benefits as an LLC would so DEFINITELY speak with an attorney before going down that road.

Googling the entity name might yield more information about who the key players are, and you can use the tax assessor website to search by name and see what else they own, and if there is a lead to be had through one of their other holdings.
