Call your credit card companies and negotiate a reasonable rate for additional buying power. 

I'm in the process of obtaining a credit card to start building my credit score but after talking to lenders that will take me some time.

I prefer debit cards and cash.

I think I would introduce myself and explain what I do and what I expect from my tenants and leave my card with the neighbors.
