Oil price is supposed to be where it is after ups and down and puts oil companies in good place.

In combination with a gross rental yield of just under 2,2% it's not worth the risk or the return.The Norwegian market has been driven by low interest rates and an oil driven optimism.

I grew up in an oil field family where my dad worked offshore for a good portion of my childhood.

Plus it helps that we had all the rain for Ag and oil is coming back.  

There were contaminants, oil, grease, toxic material, tanks down there.

The old lady neighbor would run out and tell everyone looking at it that there was a big oil spill in the basement, fire dept involvement, that it was condemned, etc...

As we were rolling on the primer with a roller, the nicotine oil was oozing through.  

The big kicker was heating- unlike my market, most of these multis were on oil, with a single heating system for the building (ie landlord pays).

I know that there are a lot of oil and gas towns in NM and if Alamogordo is one of them then you may have a steady rental but I don't think that you would see much appreciation.
