I am searching for a good asset protection attorney to see if I can "compartmentalize" the various ways I transact business to help defend my assets in the case of an issue (though the criminal part would not be an issue--it solely has to do with the nature of my other business and the liability that comes with it).

@Kathy Henley , The rentals are by nature passive, but AIRBNB generally will not fall under rentals as @Dmitriy Fomichenko pointed out.

I've had many almost deals go by because lenders promised any nature of things that didn't happen - either it took 6 months when it was supposed to take 3 weeks or they ultimately said "no" when everything about our conversation and written follow up said "yes".
