One day I'd be looking at out-of-state lake houses for STR, the next day I would be looking in my hometown a state away, then I'd be dreaming about glamping sites in our backyard, and the next day I was looking at small multifamilies in my new area.

It sounded awesome, and way better than the system we have now, but it's probably not relevant if you're looking to do something now as it's mostly a pipe dream for the future. 

It would be a dream to one day own a place there and bring my family like Brandon Turner did. 

As I have always said, there is nothing new in real estate, this rent and buy arrangement wasn't dreamed up this morning by me, I've used it since around '89.The key here is to keep your hands off the money. 

Are you tired of paying people to work for you, and dream of a loyal, reliable, personal assistant and hardworking FREE laborer who would refloor, repaint, remodel, and generally help you manage your properties, as well as run your errands and make your life simpler, all for only the opportunity to glean your wisdom and get his hands dirty in the field?

I like my job, but I also dream about escaping and creating a better future for me, which includes a lot more free time and traveling around the world.I have always been interested in passive income as a way to build freedom, I tried to set up one or two digital business in the past, but I quickly lost my passion about them and gave up.I have some money to invest and real estate seems to be a good fit for me.

Collectively, we are much more powerful and capable than any one individual could ever dream of becoming on their own.

Show her how much passion you have and more importantly YOU TWO can achieve a goal you two had dreamed up before, for us it is a Catamaran, so basically I invest for both of us for US to be free and go sail around the world.

That is the dream.

I agree with @J Scott, this likely a pipe dream that will never get off the ground.
