ok cool it just switch from servicer to HUD a week ago they hadn't even listed it yet I found house driving for dollar and called owner.

As far as value/affect on the surrounding neighborhood - I am guessing that it will immediately have little impact but will likely improve value over the long term if when the school is built and starts to get good test scores/reviews as families will be drawn to that neighborhood. 

Craigslist or Zillow search under Forvsale by owner and then find property that is not being kept up on by driving around and contact the seller directly .

I can't imagine it makes sense to tie into an old steam heat system that will likely need replacement in the next 5 years.Adding electric baseboard heaters might be the least expensive way to get a heat source into the rooms, but I'm worried that the high operating costs could be a turn off for renters and drive down what they'd be willing to pay.Has anyone else gone the electric route, and what was your experience like in terms of impact to your rental business?
