When the kids are done with school, instead of having an empty 529 account, I'll still have a rental property.And if my kids decide that the don't want to go to college, I'm not stuck having to pay a penalty to use my money in another way.

Some counties have this info online, and others require you to go to the physical location of the county assessor's office and request the info.

The #1 thing I can recommend to you is to go to local real estate meetups to network with like-minded people. #2 is to read everything on BP, listen to the podcasts, buy some books, to get the education you need so  you can move forward and achieve your goals.

Thank you all, I'm keeping all options on the table, If I find a good GC and lender who's dealt with them it may be a good way to go.
