We have taken care of engineers and permits.Assume that there is reasonable access from the rear of the property - and these are all attached row homes.If anyone has recommendations for a good subcontractor we are all ears.

Be very careful w private real estate syndications, some great ones, some really not great ones, and takes years of investing experience/understanding debt/property management/taxation rules etc before you should safely go that route, but then they can be awesome as they give high yields w passivity, the Holy Grail of RE investing :)you are on the right path, and RE far less complicated than the Krebs Cycle too :)

Reasonable rent control (such as AB1482) is great for professional managed units because market rents will rise faster than they would have otherwise and their rents are already near market rate.

There is too much supply for the little amount of demand for rent or for sale.Be careful of peoples projections in the area as they are not accurate.
