When conditions are heavy clay, we frequently tie drains for each well into an interior drain-tile system (though this is when we're finishing the entire basement).

Cracks in the foundation can mean costly repairs, as well.When looking at the property for its potential, consider whether you can easily open up the interior space by removing non-load-bearing walls.

Most of the cost is due to your interior and exterior finishes (not the structure itself) so the price range really depends on how fancy you want to get with you finishes/windows/floorin etc.
