@Kyle Doney the handyman would be covered under his employers health plan.But, in the above scenario we are assuming the handyman does not want to pay anything out of pocket.  

I like Board of Health violations too, but that's a separate database in Indianapolis.I think vacant homes may be easier targets than tenanted homes, but I have seen motivation from both types.I think you will also get better results from violations in the last 90 days as opposed to older violations.

Above all health and safety should be your concern, and then profit.

Coffee shops don't have Fair Housing regulations to follow, but they have health and saftey regulation, and  customer service is always important in any business, coffee shops have repeat customers and depend on them to sustain their livelihood. 

@Benjamin Barredo Job growth and population growth are huge for gauging the health of an investment area.

I don't know anyone that serves in the military and gets out without some type of health issue...knees, back, ptsd, etc.
