I'm not certain that data exists to suggest that the extra reward of investing in syndications is commensurate with the extra risk(as compared to a REIT.)

The people who succeed are the people who are willing to endure the fear, to act despite it, and not wait until the day (which never comes) that they feel no fear.No pain, no gain; No guts, no glory; No risk, no reward; No sacrifice, no victory. 

Its a risk-reward and all your decision and opinion however quality benefits the investment and my time/stress in my opinion.

This rewards long term tenants, helps us to continue to close the gap to market rent, and offers the tenant a better rate than they can shop around for.

I just met with a friend who owned 25 units out of state but bought in areas he didn't have a great team/were higher risk/reward opportunities that just didn't work out for him.

These can be really fun and rewarding projects.

Call it my sense of justice, but I do not like rewarding people for breaking their word to me and being too lazy to do the right thing by moving out without forcing me to bribe them. 

More money, more problems..So step one is to start with yourself and master your own finances before you take it to the next level, where the rewards are bigger, as well as the risks.
