:)I have thought about becoming a real estate agent, but the agencies here are strict about hiring only college graduates, and I'm still finishing my degree on Entrepreneurial Management.

Pros: Access to MLS, Access to seeing listed houses any time I want, if I work with an RE agency getting to sell properties, Making referral fees on those deals that the numbers don't work. 

Call the lien holder and ask if they have been paid.Ask an attorney what your state law is concerningthese type of liens.If they have not been released and there is someage to the lien, you probably can negotiate asizable discount.If the liens have been placed with a collection agencyyou may have to go back to the lien holder becausecollection agencies don't usually like to give discountsas they are paid on a percentage of the amount collected.You would need to determine whether the collection agencyis collecting on behalf of the lien holder or the agencybought the lien.

Those agencies sometimes get a bit unruly and to save on costs start telling customers what they won't do.

When you apply for a loan, your lender will need to run an application using their own credit reporting systems and algorithms they have purchased from various credit agencies....The only purpose of a "MyFico" type of product is so you, the consumer, has a good idea where they stand.Secondly, please don't obsess over the number of inquiries you have on your credit report.

The selling agent told me it was no problems and sent me the cancellation form and told me I would get my $20,000 back within a week or 2. 2 weeks passed with no money so I called him and he told me I needed to contact the title agency directly.

I was still a little green at this landlord thing and did not verify with other means.Recently I got in touch with a collection agency who wanted to see if they could get the money back.
