We plan to be in our new place for at least 5 years (we have a 12 year old and want to stay in place until he graduates).

I have a really bad mortgage deal on the current house as I lived in Canada when I purchased it (all interest - 8% 5yr balloon pymt 35% down) - was the only one I could qualify for.I will now be moving to Buffalo NY attending graduate school.As I am looking for properties here should I try to qualify for another mortgage or is there a way to transfer my current mortgage to a new property?

He actually just started about a month ago (he graduated in June), and he should have his license next week.

I am an investor from Richmond, Virginia, I graduated VCU in 2000 and I have been investing in real estate off and on since I got out of college. 

I have recently graduated college and am in a job where I will make around 27K this year, however I plan on starting medical school next fall (Assuming that I get accepted).

It keeps them from leaving early once they graduate and still have 1 mo for repairs if need be.
