It should be as simple as calling them up and asking to add on another meter.I would keep it as a triplex and install a window air conditioner in the other unit. 

Laminate is much quicker to install and looks great for the first tenant but I found we had to replace all the floors on turnovers.

Home Depot has a great vinyl plank flooring product that is about $1.49 to $2.99 a square foot, installation ranges from $1 - $2 a square foot plus an extra charge for existing flooring removal and leveling.

When factoring in installation costs as well, the cost of granite verse laminate is negligible in our market place.

However, does anyone know a affordable company that will help me install granite or quarts in austin or cedar park in a rental property.Thank you
