My wife is a dentist and I was a data analyst so real estate was a natural transition for us.

I’m extremely excited about this new venture, I have a background in electrical, particularly solar so I’m hoping the transition to real estate will be a mostly smooth one.

It is a transitional community where the Marines (mostly) are trying to maximize their housing allotment knowing they will move in the near future.

Because of what I learned on BP I obtained owner financing at 3% on a 30 year term :) also had the sellers help in transitioning the sale and raising the rents without issue.

This area is not in transition or "Gentrifying" they said that 15 years ago and nothing happened.

I am transitioning from single family homes and duplexes to larger multifamily properties.  

There are a lot of great options out there; aside from providing the basics (ie. listing tool to get the property published, scheduling tool to schedule viewings, tenant screening, digital lease creation tool, rent collection tool, and maintenance tracking tool), some services also offer your tenants additional capabilities which makes it an easier sell on your end when getting them to transition over (ie. their ability to report on-time rent payments to the credit bureaus; this can create an added incentive for making sure they pay that rent on time). 

We just transitioned into the commercial lending world, and so far so good. 

At the end of the day, I think you will start looking at the South side near mass transit in addition to your preferred NW side.Ahhh, the hopes of youth.
