Just wanted to know if there are any local meet ups in Northern Virginia that I can attend.

Read all the highly recommended  books, bought the Carlton Sheets, attended a rich dad seminar (surprisingly no Kiyosaki), a couple of flavor of the year gurus, joined a local REIA for two years, Listened to podcast on BP.

I recommend attending the MAREI meeting in Over Land park if you can to start networking and meeting people.

I attended the last local REIA meeting in Lexington and it felt awesome to actually be taking action with networking but most importantly LEARNING!

., Rich Dad, Poor Dad (actually I read the entire series), The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Real Estate Investing, The Book on Rental Property Investing and The ABC's of Real Estate Investing) plus I've attended or watched at least a dozen of his webinars. 

I would recommend attending your local REIA and networking with reputable wholesalers.

My point is I can't replace my income tomorrow, all I can do is take the next step and for me that is getting to know the people I have yet to meet, joining the local REIA, attending local meetings, especially the one @Joe Fairless runs here in town.

I attended their meetup this month and it had great info about local market and trends.
